People tend to have strong opinions about songs being covered by different artists. For example, the Jonas brothers cover of 'Take on me', orginally by A-ha. Fail.
However, sometimes a cover can be a great thing. I came across a few examples of a great cover with the song 'Feeling Good'. It was originally recorded by Cy Grant in 1964, but the next version by Nina Simone and in my opinion really made it better.
The fabulous Michael Buble brings the song a little modern twist.
Muse adds some rock to this song. Unexpected, but so great.
Any thoughts on great remakes or total cover fails?
i love this. such a good idea - you could do an entire series on covers.
