People tend to have strong opinions about songs being covered by different artists. For example, the Jonas brothers cover of 'Take on me', orginally by A-ha. Fail.
However, sometimes a cover can be a great thing. I came across a few examples of a great cover with the song 'Feeling Good'. It was originally recorded by Cy Grant in 1964, but the next version by Nina Simone and in my opinion really made it better.
The fabulous Michael Buble brings the song a little modern twist.
Muse adds some rock to this song. Unexpected, but so great.
Any thoughts on great remakes or total cover fails?

Tough Interiors
I've fallen hard for rough floors, walls and ceilings. Cover them in refurbished wood, brick or concrete and I'm all about it. I think it might have something to do with the extremely girly accessories I'm drawn to (pretty couches, floral pillows, colorful blankets, ruffles, lace, etc). Given the right mix of these things I think it could balance pretty well, or at least that's how it has come together in the dream apartment in my mind. Jack Johnson
I came across tour dates for the talented (and oh so handsome) Jack Johnson.
Looks like he will be playing in the south of France tomorrow. Doesn't that seem like the best way to spend a Wednesday?
He is officially on my concert must-see list. I doubt I'll ever catch him in the UK, but I'm sure he is just as wonderful here.
